NEOM’s Head of Innovation, Wyatt Roy, visited Sustainable Innovations (SI) in Khobar, highlighting the growing strength of Saudi Arabia’s hard-tech ecosystem.
NEOM, the Kingdom’s flagship smart city, and SI, a pioneering Saudi company in product development and hard-tech ventures, share a commitment to advancing sustainability and innovation by leveraging renewable energy, advanced technology, and locally developed solutions.
“At SI, a remarkable team of Saudi entrepreneurs is turning groundbreaking ideas into tangible products, building self-sustaining hard-tech startups that develop everything from EV chargers to efficient boats and IoT-enabled solutions,” said Roy.
Both organizations share a vision for fostering innovation, nurturing Saudi talent, and advancing the knowledge economy. During the visit, Roy highlighted SI’s achievements, including the NEOM-sponsored solar car project, and noted the alignment between NEOM’s large-scale ambitions and SI’s tech venture approach.
Both parties recently signed an MOU formalizing a collaboration to co-develop impactful technologies, establish the innovation and tech venture ecosystem, and accelerate the Kingdom’s transformation into a global innovation hub.
